Earth's Angel Liam

Liam's mommy and daddy and baby sister had to say goodbye last week...his family will never be the same. He was loved by many. XO
Please visit www.angelman.org to learn more about special children like Liam.
Liam was a bright faced, rosy child who was learning how to climb on everything. He adored his Mommy and Daddy, his grandparents, aunts and uncles and cousins Hunter and Katelyn. You can learn more about the syndrome he was born with, Angelman's syndrome, by visiting the Angelman's Foundation at www.angelman.org and also visiting www.cureangleman.org ---recently making press on the Letterman show by actor Colin Farrell.

Liam charmed his cousin Elly and she loves him back.

What is Angelman's syndrome?
Individuals with Angelman Syndrome tend to have a happy demeanor, characterized by frequent laughing, smiling and excitability. Many individuals with Angelman Syndrome are attracted to water and take great pleasure in activities like swimming and bathing. To see a full list of diagnostic criteria for Angelman Syndrome click here.

People living with AS require life-long care, intense therapies to help develop functional skills and improve their quality of life, and close medical supervision often involving multiple medical interventions. Angelman Syndrome may be misdiagnosed since other syndromes have similar characteristics.

Frisco Treasures

Most of my life, I have ventured southeast to a pure and rugged strip of coastal sand to reconnect.
I think about this place all the time.
   Hatteras Island, NC.

For "ump-teen" years now, I find the "best" shells ever...
See the red-brick one? I remember finding one just like it on a beach walk with the
cutest blue-eyed, blonde salty-haired ship builder when I was 17.  Still got it in my jewelry box.

Dreamy sunsets on the Pamlico Sound,  in Frisco, Hatteras Island, NC...
Never get tired of them and wait to see them every year.  Makes me cry.

Can you find the little gray sand bugs tucked in the rear ?
They dig backwards into the surf...used to dig them up to watch them hide, over and over.

Along the natural shorelines of Hatteras and the Outer Banks are richly colored, tiny coquina shells...tossed and tumbled bits of purple amethyst and white Quahog clam shells that were carved into beads, decorative items by the indigenous people, the Algonquian~Croatan Indians.

No wonder that many of my jewelry pieces are purple.
This hand sculpted and coiled piece has inky-black zircon facets surrounding eggplant
seed pearls, indigo blue iolite, tanzanite and the palest lavender Cape amethyst briolette focal.
More peacock purple pearls in the hand-linked
chain with watery, polished oval and deep purple cushion-cut amethyst cushion beads.
Gorgeous faceted garnet and amethyst toggle clasp.
14K gf and 22K gold vermeil.
